The 2011 Mountain Laurel Autoharp Contest was another good one. We had 18 contestants and the audience was both amazed and entertained. Our finalists were Ricky Levitan, Doug Pratt, Cindy Harris (3rd place), Ivan Stiles (2nd place) and our 2011 Champion, Ray Choi.
As always we are going to issue a CD set containing all the performances from the contest. This should be available by 1 Oct 2011. We'll only make as many as are pre-ordered so, if you're interested, send your check for $25 (made out to MLAG) to our registrar, Coleen Walters at the following address:

We also have a few copies remaining of our 2-DVD 20th Anniversary retrospective set. The DVD's contain photos, music, and reminiscenses of the Gathering since it began in 1991. There is also a chapter on the old Dulciharp Gatherings which began in 1986 and preceded what we now know as the Mountain Laurel Autoharp Gathering. It's a collector's item folks ... get 'em while they last for $8.00 (check made out to MLAG) from Coleen as well.
You can also order Mary Lou Orthey's "Sunshine in the Shadows" CD (benefitting the scholarship fund) for $15.
Our 15th Anniversary CD featuring all the contest winners back to 1991 is still available and we also have a very few copies of the contest CD sets from 2003, 2007, and 2009. All are $10 each.
