Mary Lou Orthey Scholarship Fund

We are excited and pleased to announce the creation of the Mary Lou Orthey Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund was established in 2006 to promote the development and growth of the autoharp by providing financial assistance to people who would otherwise not be able to afford to come to the Gathering. This will be focused on, but not limited to, first time attendees, young people who do not have independent means, and other deserving candidates.

Mary Lou Orthey Memorial Scholarship

The Mary Lou Orthey Memorial Scholarship Committee is pleased to consider your application for assistance to the 2008 Mountain Laurel Autoharp Gathering. Several scholarships will be awarded this year, up to $250 per person. This scholarship may be applied to help with basic registration fees, camping or housing, meals, travel expenses and personal expenses. Please download the application form, review the application process and guidelines, and complete the application. The application deadline is April 1, 2008.

Your application will be kept strictly confidential. Please note that we will not publish your name as a recipient unless you grant us permission to do so.

We enlist all members of the autoharp community to encourage deserving candidates they know personally, to apply for this scholarship.
