Using a GPS: the Little Buffalo State Park Ranger's Office is located at 1579 State Park Road, Newport PA 17074. Putting that address into your GPS will get you close; however, the campground itself is located nearly a mile west of the Ranger's Office on Black Hill Road on the north side of Holman Lake (see map below). When the Gathering is in session, a MLAG banner will be positioned at the intersection of State Route 4010 and Black Hill Road indicating where to turn. Note: Black Hill Road used to go all the way through to from State Route 4010 to Middle Ridge Road and some GPS instructions will try to bring you in from Middle Ridge Road ... this will not work! The map below should help to orient you.

Little Buffalo

DIRECTIONS TO LITTLE BUFFALO STATE PARK

From Harrisburg: Take Route 322 West, go until the Newport/New Bloomfield Exit, at the stop sign go left. This puts you on Route 34 South; follow this over the bridge into Newport. At the next stop sign, make a left onto 4th Street, still on Route 34. Continue on and watch for an Agway on your left and Smith's Auto Parts on your right, make the next right on to Little Buffalo Road (there is a sign for both the State Park and the Campground). Go 3 miles, passing the State Park headquarters building/Rangers Office on your left, and turn right onto Black Hill Road leading up the hill to the campground. The Mountain Laurel Autoharp Gathering banner will be displayed and pointing to the turn which is directly opposite the lake.

From Carlisle: Take Route 34 North, follow through New Bloomfield and go approximately 4 miles. There will be a car wash on your right. Make the next left (there is a sign for both the State Park and Campground) and follow the directions above.

For those who need a list of motels, you can find one here.
